Search warrant results in several charges

On January 9, 2020, members of the OPP Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU) executed a Search Warrant at a property on Sunset Drive in Bruce Township.

As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized a quantity of cocaine. The estimated value of the seized controlled substances is $50.00.

However, police also recovered a stolen pick-up truck at the scene, valued at more than $20,000.

A 35-year-old male of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime
  • Possess a Controlled Substance
  • Fraud
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance
  • Fail to Surrender Suspended Licence
  • Use Unauthorized Licence Plates, and
  • Drive with Speed Measuring Device

He was held in custody pending the result of a bail hearing.

In addition, a 39-year-old female of Kincardine was charged with:

  • Possess Property Obtained by Crime
  • Fraud
  • Possess a Controlled Substance
  • Use Unauthorized Licence Plates, and
  • Drive with Speed Measuring Device

Investigators, stemming from a different investigation, further charged her with:

  • Break and Enter
  • 2 counts of Possess a Firearm Obtained by Crime
  • 2 counts of Trafficking a Firearm
  • Possess a Weapon for the purpose of Trafficking
  • 2 counts of Conspiracy to commit an Indictable Offence
  • Provide a False Statement regarding a Firearm
  • Obstruct Peace Officer, and
  • Fail to Comply with Recognizance

She was held in custody pending the result of a bail hearing.
