On March 23, 2019, Bruce Peninsula Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) were called to investigate a three-month-old female infant who had suffered severe injuries.
As a result of the investigation by members of the Bruce Peninsula OPP Crime Unit, under the direction of Detective Inspector Chris Landry of OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), police have arrested and charged the parents of the infant.
Both individuals have been charged with Aggravated Assault section 268 and Fail to Provide Necessaries of Life to a Child section 215 (2) (a) (i) of the Criminal Code.
The accused were released on a Recognizance after a bail hearing and are scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Owen Sound on April 18, 2019. A publication ban is in effect for the proceedings.
Grey County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) is investigating a break, enter and the theft of a pick-up truck from a residence on Grey Road 18 in the Township of Georgian Bluffs.
Sometime between 3:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. on March 25, 2019, unknown person(s) forcibly entered a residence on Grey Road 18. The suspect(s) took the keys to the pick-up truck parked in the driveway and left the scene.
The stolen vehicle is described as a brown, 2008 GMC Sierra pick-up truck with Ontario licence plates 8529ZT. It is a 4-door crew cab with a short box, having chrome side window visors and a chrome bug deflector on the hood.
