Bruce Power Supplier Partners donate to Huron Shores Hospice

At the Huron Shores Hospice virtual hike event held May 8th, Mike Rencheck, Bruce Power’s President and CEO, announced a $55,000 donation to the organization on behalf of the company’s nuclear supply chain partners.

“I am honoured to announce this donation on behalf of the more than 30 members of our supply chain who donated to the Huron Shores Hospice through Bruce Power’s charitable events package,” Rencheck said. “We are fortunate to have supplier partners who share our commitment to the communities in which we live, work and play.”

Cheryl Cottrill, Co-Chair, Huron Shores Hospice, said this donation makes a tremendous contribution to the Hospice’s annual fundraising endeavours.

“We welcome these partners in helping to create a world where end-of-life care receives as much beauty, care and respect as the beginning,” Cottrill said. “We cannot do the work we do without generous donations from our partners, and we thank them for recognizing the importance of quality end-of-life care in our community.”

The Bruce Power Charitable Events Sponsorship Program aligns the company’s vendor partners with local, provincial and national non-profit organizations that focus on Indigenous youth, health and wellness organizations, Canadian veterans and local Legions, food banks, and hospital foundations. Suppliers will donate over $500,000 to these initiatives in 2021.
