Explore Bruce County with Free Snowshoes from the Library

We get a lot of snow in Bruce County and the Library can help you to get out and enjoy it!  You can now borrow a set of snowshoes with your library card and embrace the winter wonderland.

Perfect for exploring Bruce County and beyond, in addition to being fun, snowshoeing provides many health benefits, including a cardio workout while building agility, balance, and strength. Instead of avoiding winter, why not experience it?

Library Director Nicole Charles shares her enthusiasm for the program. “We’re so excited for a way for Bruce County residents to get out and enjoy winter!”

Our snowshoe kits are FREE to borrow and have a one-week lending period. Each kit contains a pair of snowshoes and trekking poles that will help you keep your balance in the snow. Children and adult sizes are available.

Bruce County Public Library offers a variety of non-traditional items that can be borrowed with a library card. For more information about this and other Library items available for borrowing, please visit our website, www.library.brucecounty.on.ca .
