The Board of Health is pleased to celebrate Christina Milani’s 30 years as a Public Health Inspector with the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
Christina embraces the values of the organization to her core, committed to ensure that clients have the best possible information and outcomes. Christina is always among the first to acknowledge that there is a person at the other end of that lab report or investigation. She possesses layers upon layers of infectious disease knowledge and field experience that will be hard to replace. Her relentless investigative work lead to uncovering the source of many outbreaks including a 1992 salmonella outbreak in a local hospital.
Christina was part of the evolution of the Health Unit having worked for Bruce County Health Unit in Walkerton and Southampton and then transferring to Owen Sound with the formation of the Grey Bruce Health Unit.
In celebrating 30 years of service, it is not about the number of inspections, case investigations, outbreaks or the number of years, but it is how Christina served the public with excellence during that time.
