Remembrance Services will be held in Tiverton on Saturday Nov 10 at 11am and in Kincardine at the legion on Sunday Nov 11. Service indoors at 10 am then we will proceed outside for 11am. The first draw was held on Oct 31, for the next round of Catch the Ace. This time the legion is partnering up with the Kinetic Knights. Tickets will be available by approximately 3pm Thursdays at the legion bar, Jean’s restaurant, Sleepers, Edward Fuels, and Lake Mart Esso. Tickets are on sale right up to the draw time of 4pm on Wednesday at the legion bar. Get your tickets and support the Knights.
Have you heard Bob’s dogs are available before bingo on Thursday nights? No need to eat before you head down for a fun night of bingo you can grab a hot dog or grab something from the food items available at the bar. Doors open to purchase bingo cards at 6pm, games begin at 7pm.
Craft show season has started and the legion craft show will be on Saturday Nov. 17. They would like bake sale donations, so if you are a baker and would like to donate something it would be appreciated. Baked goods can be dropped off Friday night or early Saturday morning.
Hard to believe that in 2 months we will be into a New Year wow that has come up quickly. But if you are looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve why not come to the legion. Joseph J is going to be the DJ for the evening. There will be party favours, munchies and a cold buffet at 11pm. Tickets will be $35 per person. They will be available to legion members only until Dec 1 and then to the public after that.
Have you paid your dues yet for the year? If you pay by 30 November 2018 you will save $5.00 dues are $55.00 for Ordinary, Associate and Affiliate members but if you wait till Dec 1 2016 dues will be $60.00. dues for Veterans remain at $50.00 all year. You can pay at the legion bar, or you also have the option to pay online just go to the Dominion web-site at legion.ca.
