Congratulations to Joe Hunter he picked envelope number 2 which contained the Ace of Spades. Joe won $2086.00 in the Catch the Ace draw. Another round will start with the first draw taking place on Dec 5th.
The early bird deadline for paying dues is almost here. If you pay by 30 November 2018 you will save $5.00 dues are $55.00 for Ordinary, Associate and Affiliate members but if you wait till Dec 1 2016 dues will be $60.00. dues for Veterans remain at $50.00 all year. You can pay at the legion bar, or you also have the option to pay online just go to the Dominion web-site at legion.ca.
Do not forget to gather your friends and come to the mega meat draw in the hall on Dec. 1.There will be 16 meat draws and a special raffle draw. Mark the date down and grab some family and friends and come out to the legion for the afternoon. Doors open at 2pm. First draw will be at 3pm.
Are you looking for something to do on New Year’s Eve? Why not come to the legion where Joseph J is going to be the DJ for the evening. There will be party favours, munchies and a cold buffet at 11pm. Tickets will be $35 per person. They will be available to legion members only until December 1st and then to the public after that.
Thursday December 6th will see a guaranteed bingo jackpot of $1000. Wow wouldn’t that be nice just before Christmas. December 13 there will be 15 door prizes of a box of after eight mints and December20th, a chance to win one of 15 turkeys. So come out and support the legion bingo. Who knows you might just go home a winner.
The legion is open Monday to Friday noon to 10pm and Saturday’s noon to 6pm. The legion has shuffleboard, darts, pool tables and cards available for everyone to use during these times. Come check out your local legion.
