Wow! here we are into July and some nice weather that we have been waiting for, come enjoy the nice weather on the legion patio, it’s a great place to spend time with some friends.
Congratulations to the athletes who competed at the track meet at the Davidson Center on June 22. Ben Brewer, Liam Fitzgerald and Ana Morariu are going on to the legion provincial track meet July 12th and 13th in Brampton. Good Luck to them.
Sunday July 14th is the next family dinner. It’s your chance to let someone else do the cooking and enjoy catching up with friends at the legion. Cate is making roast beef and roast pork along with potatoes veggies salad and dessert. It takes place in the hall from 4:30 to 6pm.
Thursday night bingo will have $1000 up for grabs every night this summer if bingo is called on the 54th number or before. If bingo is not called the prize drops down to the appropriate amount for people present. Grab some friends and come out for an enjoyable night of bingo. Doors open at 6pm first games start at 7pm.
There is only one Jam session this month and that will be on Friday July 19th in the hall at 7pm. If you are visiting the area and enjoy playing an instrument bring it along and join in. If you just enjoy listening then come out and enjoy these local musicians, they are very talented.
There is a special Johnny Cash tribute coming to the legion on Saturday August 31st. Tickets are for sale at the legion bar for $20. I have heard that this is a not to miss tribute show that has been standing room only at other legions. Make sure you get your tickets soon, so you are not disappointed.
The legion is open to everyone you do not have to be a legion member to come in and enjoy our facilities. Hope to see you soon at the legion. Open Monday to Friday noon to 10pm, Saturdays noon to 6pm.
