The Ace was not found on Dec 4th so next week the progressive jackpot will be over $3000 so you might want to get a ticket. We have teamed up with the Hospital Foundation for this round of Catch the Ace. Tickets are $5 each and you need a new ticket for each draw. The ticket outlets are the legion bar, Jean’s Restaurant, The Beefway, In Style Hair Salon, Sleeper’s Bed Gallery, and Edward Fuels. The tickets are on sale starting Thursday afternoon until just before draw time on Wednesday unless the tickets are sold out before that.
There will be a Mega Meat draw in the hall on Dec 14. Entertainment for the afternoon will be provided by The Gauthier brother’s, Tony Johnson, Brian Penner and Special Guests the Hunter Family. There will be the regular 8 meat prizes plus 8 turkey’s as well. Doors will open at 2pm with ticket sales starting shortly after that. Hope to see you there.
Don’t forget about trivia on Friday December 13 starting at 7pm in the hall. If you feel like getting into the Christmas spirit you are welcome to dress up in your ugly Christmas sweater, your Santa hats or whatever else you might have around. New Year’s Eve is always a fun night at the legion. This year we have Rob and the Rydell’s coming to entertain with the great music from the 50’s and 60’s. There will be party favours, munchies and a cold buffet at 11pm. Free ride home in town provided. Tickets are $40 and available at the legion bar.
Looking for something to do in the afternoons? Do you enjoy playing pool? The pool players at the legion are inviting anyone who enjoys a good game of pool to join them on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from noon to 2pm. The pool tables are located up 1 flight of stairs.
The legion is open Monday to Friday from noon to 10pm and Saturday’s noon to 6pm. There is a shuffleboard table, dart boards, pool table and even crokinole games available to use. Why not come out and enjoy what the legion has to offer.
