A draft Heritage Conservation District (HCD) Plan has been prepared for the Municipality of Kincardine by Stantec Consulting Ltd (Stantec) and a+LiNK Architecture, and is available on the project website. The goal of the HCD Plan is to provide policies and guidelines to manage change by designating the area under Part V of the Ontario Heritage Act. The Plan outlines how alterations, additions, and new construction should occur in the area. The recommended HCD boundary is shown in the map below.
March 22, 2021, 7:00pm Online Public Information Meeting Purpose of the Meeting The draft Plan is available for review online. A virtual meeting hosted through Microsoft Teams will be held to present a summary of the Plan. A structured discussion period will follow. If you are unable to attend the Teams meeting, slides and comment forms will be available on the project website: www.kincardine.ca/hcd Print copies of the materials can also be requested from the Municipality. Your input is an important part of creating policies and guidelines that will affect how the HCD is managed. Please provide your input on this phase of work by April 5, 2021.
