A Little More About Julie-Anne
Getting into the Sport: First joined the cross country team at school at age 10… Loves the simplicity yet difficulty of running, and just the feeling of being mentally and physically fit. It has allowed her to travel the world, pursue education and meet incredible people… Outside Interests: Enjoys reading at coffee shops, spending time with family on vacation to warmer spots, playing other sports… Earned her Bachelor of Arts, Honours in Health Studies in 2016 from Queen’s University and is working on her Masters of Science in Sport Psychology from Western… Co-Founder and Lead Organizer of The ReRUN Shoe Project, collects and donates lightly used running shoes to local communities in 3 cities across Canada. By giving shoes another life to improve the lives of others, we hope to decrease barriers to physical activity… Would like to pursue a career in sport education… Odds and Ends: Buys postcards for friends and family from competitions. Always collects her bib numbers… Favourite motto: “Dreams don’t work unless you do.” -John C. Maxwell
