The Municipality of Kincardine wishes to express condolences to the family of Donna Ada Wilson-Kennedy (née Wilkinson), of Kincardine, who passed away yesterday, Tuesday, November 2nd, 2021 in her 84th year.
Donna had an extensive career representing the public in local politics:
· Served on Council: 1971, 1972, 1973
· Served as Reeve: 1985, 1986, 1987
· Appointed as Acting Mayor : 1988
· Served as Mayor: 1989, 1990, 1991
Throughout her life, Donna also served on multiple committees:
· Canada Day Committee
· Kincardine Public Library Committee
· Kincardine and District Community Centre Recreation Board
· Industrial Committee
· BNPD Impact Advisory Committee
· Economic Development Committee
· Regional Tourist Council of Grey and Bruce
· Parks and Tourism Committee
In honour of Donna’s life and public service, the Municipality of Kincardine lowered flags o half-mast.
