Obituary: Marsha Pauline (MacIntosh) Leggett – May 27, 2024

With her family by her side, in the early hours of Monday, May 27,2024 at the Huron Shores Hospice, Tiverton Ontario, Marsha Pauline Leggett (nee MacIntosh) passed away peacefully.

Beloved wife of LeRoy Leggett. Loving mother of Jennifer and Jim Capeling, Kimberley and Ray Buttineau, and Michael and Brooke Leggett.

Proud Grandma of Rebecca, Hannah, Olivia, Paulina, Noah, Sam, Ben and Katie Rae.  Marsha was also  Great Grandmother to Santiago, Georgia and Phoebe.  Survived by her three sisters Judy Randle of Ajax, Beth Harrison of Owen Sound and Kip Barber of Owen Sound.

LeRoy and Marsha owned Leggett’s Sunoco in Tiverton until the Garage was sold in the late 1980’s.  Marsha was a counsellor for Tiverton and Kincardine Township through the years and she was also elected the Reeve of Tiverton in 1979, Which was the Centennial Anniversary of the village.  She enjoyed her time sitting on Council and always was concerned with the ‘goings on’ in the Community.

Memorial donations to Huron Shores Hospice, Tiverton would be appreciated by the family.

Council and staff of the Municipality of Kincardine also send their sympathies to the friends and family of Marsha.  Leggett made a significant impact in local municipal government during her lifetime. She first worked as a Clerk and then served as Reeve for the Corporation of the Village of Tiverton in the 1970s. She went on to serve as a Councillor for the Municipality of Kincardine from 2006 to 2010.
