On May 29, 2024, members of the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit (CSCU), Perth County Major Crime Unit, and the Perth County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP), along with the West Region Emergency Response Team and Canine Unit executed a search warrant in the Township of Perth East.
Two people were arrested at an address on Line 52, in the Township of Perth East, during an investigation into a stolen trailer. A search warrant was executed at the property, which resulted in the recovery of: a tandem axle flatbed trailer, a tandem axle dump trailer, a 2011 Ford F250, a 2018 Dodge Ram 1500, a 2010 Kawasaki KX250 dirt bike, a 2018 Argo XR5, 2018 Skidoo Rotax 850 snowmobile, a Suzuki street bike, a 2002 Suzuki G60 street bike, a 2001 Suzuki XR1 street bike, an aluminum hydraulic dump bin, a Cargo Max trailer, and four chainsaws.
Additionally, a cell phone and methamphetamine were seized, with a combined valued at approximately $800.
The total estimated value of the recovered property is approximately $100,000.
William BIDDLE, 47, of Perth East, has been charged with:
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 (11 counts)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (four counts)
– Altering/Removing/Destroying VIN (three counts)
– Fraudulent Concealment
– Possession of Methamphetamine
Brian BIDDLE, 42, of Perth East, has been charged with:
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5,000 (11 counts)
– Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000 (four counts)
– Altering/Removing/Destroying VIN (three counts)
– Fraudulent Concealment
The accused parties were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
