On May 19, 2021 at 7:53 a.m., a member of the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) on patrol along Bruce County Road 20 in Greenock Township noticed a vehicle moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle’s speed was displayed on radar at more than 130 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone.
A 32-years-old male of Hamilton was charged with Race a Motor Vehicle.
This charge includes an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment and an immediate 7-day license suspension.

A Wingham resident is facing a court date following a Racing charge laid yesterday by Huron County Ontario Provincial Police (OPP).
On Wednesday, May 19, 2021 at approximately12:13 p.m. a Huron OPP officer was patrolling on Clyde Line when he observed a sport utility vehicle speeding well above the posted 80 km/h zone limit. A RADAR device was utilized to measure the speed of the vehicle and it accurately measured the vehicle’s speed in excess of 130 km/h.
A traffic stop was conducted and the driver was subsequently charged.
A 23-year-old male from Wingham has been charged with Race a Motor Vehicle – Excessive Speed. The driver now has a court date scheduled for June 15, 2021 at the Ontario Court of Justice – Goderich to answer to the charge.
The motor vehicle was impounded and the driver was served with an automatic seven day driver’s licence suspension.
