South Bruce OPP investigating fatal Teeswater fire

On February 18th (2022) at 4:38 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a fire at a residence along Clinton Street south in Teeswater. Officers arrived with members of South Bruce Fire Rescue and Huron County Emergency Medical Services (EMS).

One person was found inside. They were taken to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased. Their identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.

The South Bruce OPP is continuing to investigate this incident along with the Ontario Fire Marshall’s office and the Coroner’s office.

On February 14, 2022 at 8:55 a.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a threat made towards an unspecified school in Walkerton.

As a result of the police investigation a 37-yeas-old male, of no fixed address was charged with Utter Threats. The accused was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing.
