Two stunt driving charges laid resulting in license suspension

The South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) laid 2 stunt driving charges last week.

  • On April 28, 2021 at 12:56 a.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on patrol along Bruce County Road 11, in Elderslie Township, observed a vehicle moving at a high rate of speed. The vehicle’s speed was displayed on radar at 131 km/h in a posted 80 km/h zone. A 25-year-old resident of Sarnia was charged.
  • On April 27, 2021 at 12:32 p.m., a South Bruce OPP officer on foot patrol observed a vehicle spinning tires on Yonge Street south in Brockton. An 18-year-old resident of Stratford was charged.

These charges include an immediate 7-day vehicle impoundment and an immediate 7-day driver’s license suspension.
