Poverty is hurting 1 in 3 people in Bruce-Grey.

You can help make someone’s life better.
Join the United Way’s “Brown Bag Challenge” on Giving Tuesday

On Tuesday, November 27th, people around the world will be participating in charitable activities marking the first day of the giving season. This day is known as Giving Tuesday.

It is a global day of giving that happens each year after Black Friday and Cyber Monday. Individuals, charities and businesses will be joining together to celebrate giving and participate in activities that support local charities and non-profits.

The United Way of Bruce Grey is a Giving Tuesday partner and will be marking the day with a Brown Bag Challenge. They want you to take up the challenge by donating your take-out coffee and lunch money and Brown Bagging it on November 27th.

You can register yourself, your workplace, church, school, community group, service club or sports team to participate. Ask associates, customers, volunteers, family and friends to join you. Make a big pot of soup, hold a potluck or just Brown Bag it to help someone in need.

Every dollar you donate will stay in Bruce-Grey to be reinvested back into the community where it is needed the most. Your generous support will make someone’s life better.
