Drugs involved in two separate incidents

On March 16, 2021, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Community Street Crimes Unit (CSCU), OPP Tactical Rescue Unit (TRU) members and West Region OPP Emergency Response Team (ERT) members executed a Search Warrant at a property along Bruce County Road 1 in Kinloss Township.

As a result of the execution of the search warrant, police seized a quantity of Cocaine, and Gabapentin. The estimated value of the seized controlled substances is $11,795.00.

Police also seized offence related property including: digital scales, a cell phone, and drug packaging material.

A 38-year-old male of Kinloss Township was charged with Possession of Cocaine for the purpose of trafficking.

The accused is scheduled to appear in court on May 19, 2021 to answer to the charge.

On March 16, 2021 at 2:22 a.m., a South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) officer on patrol stopped to check a vehicle along Durham Street west in Walkerton. The officer noticed the driver was showing signs of impairment.

A 39-year-old, of no fixed address, was charged with Impaired Driving, Driving while Prohibited and Possession of Fentanyl for the Purpose of Trafficking. The accused was held in custody pending the results of a bail hearing scheduled for March 16, 2021.

A large quantity of Fentanyl was seized by police.
