Kincardine Legion Corner: Royal Canadian Legion, Branch 183

The legion lends out medical equipment such as walkers, crutches, wheel chairs bathroom aids etc. If you are in need of these items please get in touch with the legion, one of the medical equipment volunteers will assist you.

Speaking of volunteers I would like to say thank you to all the many volunteers that we have at the legion, they help with so many things meat draws, bingo, dinners, medical equipment and trivia just to name a few things. Without all of the volunteers it would be very hard to have all the activities that we do have happen.

Catch the Ace is still going on as the ace has not been found, so the progressive pot is really starting to grow. This time the legion is partnering up with the Tiverton Lions Club who will be helping out the legion and the Huron Shores Hospice will be the charity receiving part of the proceeds. Tickets will be available at the legion bar, Jean’s restaurant, Sleepers, Edward Fuels, Lake Mart Esso and Kwik Way in Tiverton. Tickets are on sale right up to the draw time of 4pm Wednesday’s at the legion bar. Get your tickets and support a great cause.

Thursday night is bingo night in the legion hall, come by yourself or as a group. The double dab quickies start at 7pm followed by the regular games and finally the jackpot. If there are over 80 people we play for $1000 if the game is won in 54 numbers or less.

Another fun night of trivia will be happening at 7pm sharp on July 20th. Current Events, and Who Am I? are two of the regular topics. What other topics will Laura come up with? Come join in the fun and find out.

Hope to see you at the legion using the shuffleboard, dart boards, pool table or just chatting and catching up with friends. Maybe you want to use the patio now that summer is here. The legion bar has snack foods like chicken fingers, fries, battered mushrooms and a few more items, give them a try during your next visit.

Legion hours are Monday to Friday noon to 10pm, Saturday noon to 6pm.
