Kincardine residents asked to conserve water due to system upgrades

The Kincardine Water Treatment Plant will be undergoing a SCADA system upgrade from January 16 to January 19th, 2018.

During this time the water plant will be offline and water will be fed into our system from the Huron-Kinloss Municipal well system.

Customers serviced by the Kincardine Water Treatment Plant including the former Town of Kincardine, Huronville and the pipeline to Inverhuron are being asked to conserve water during this time period to ensure the well system can keep up with the demand of their own system as well as ours.

Please be aware that the water from the Huron-Kinloss groundwater wells has elevated levels of naturally occurring sodium and fluoride. Users may also experience a difference in pressure, colour and taste at this time.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the Kincardine Water Services office at 519 396-4660.
