On August 17, 2021, members of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) and the Hamilton Police Service, under the direction of the OPP Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB), arrested and charged Ahmet NIKCI, 40-years old of no fixed address with Second Degree Murder and Indignity to a Body following a joint investigation into the murder of a Hamilton woman in 2018.
The accused is being held in custody and is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Hamilton at a later date.
On December 24, 2019, the remains of Monica CHISAR were found in the area of Southgate Road 10, east of Highway 6 in the Township of Southgate. The deceased was last seen in Hamilton on July 11, 2018 and was reported missing by her family in September 2018.
Police would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this ongoing investigation.

On August 5, 2021, the Grey Bruce OPP responded to a report of window that had been broken at a local business located on Main Street in Sauble Beach.
On August 6, 2021 at approximately 7:30 p.m., Grey Bruce OPP arrested and charged a 16-year-old youth from Hamilton with the following offences:
- Mischief under $5000
- Possession of weapon for a dangerous purpose
The identity of the charged party cannot be revealed under the provisions of the Youth Criminal Justice Act.
The youth was released and must attend the Owen Sound Ontario Court of Justice on September 14, 2021.

On August 15, 2021 just before 8:30 p.m., the South Bruce Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) received a report of a single vehicle collision along Side Road 5, in the Municipality of Brockton. Officers responded with members of the Brockton Fire Department and Bruce County Paramedic Service.
A single vehicle had left the roadway, striking a tree. Firefighters had to extricate the driver, who was taken to a trauma centre by Ornge Air Ambulance with life threatening injuries.
One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. He has been identified as Brayden BERBERICH, 28, of Brockton.
The road was closed for most of the night while the West Region OPP Traffic Incident Management and Enforcement (TIME) Team attended and assisted with the investigation.
