Tiverton News

Let’s hope everyone is having a safe and happy holiday and following COVID-19 protocols. We need to shut this thing down so we can enjoy the new year.

I hope everyone is enjoying the beautiful Christmas light display at St. Andrews Park in Tiverton. They have brightened up the street and are a welcome site.

Check out the ‘Leave the Light On’ initiative where you can add your address as a decorated house and use the interactive guide to do a self-guided tour of lights within the Municipality. See www.kincardine.ca/light-on for more information.

Tiverton Ward 3 Councilor

There have been a few more names added to the nomination list. From Tiverton, Marshal Byle, Dorne Fitzsimmons, Alex Lloy, David Neely and Christina Wahi. From Kincardine, Linda McKee, Christopher Mercanti, and Tracy Primeau. Monday December 21st was the deadline. Good luck to everyone

Manor Musings

The Kincardine Rotary has donated funds to the four senior homes in the Kincardine area to bring a little holiday cheer to the residents. Every summer the Kincardine Rotary hosts a summer picnic but with COVID here it was cancelled. This was their way of making up for it. Tiverton Park Manor chose to purchase some outdoor Christmas displays.

Also pictured with the new Christmas display is the big reindeer from the Municipality for the “Leave the Light on” campaign. We are lucky to have this big guy until March. You should see more around Kincardine for the campaign.

Please everyone, do your best to keep our covid numbers low in the region so we can all go back to our normal way of life in the new year. Have a great Christmas and New Years. God Bless you all.
